This is the Day to Give

For every $ you give, YLA receives a matching grant.

Top 3 Reasons to Give to Youth Leadership Academy

1.

80% of our students are 1st-generation college students.  100% of our students come from low-income families. 100% of our students are capable of success.

2.

When you give to YLA, you allow us to give a child the tools and guidance needed to make the dream of college a reality.

3.

When a child goes to college, he/she takes the steps to change  a family tree, to bring security and success to the family.

The Brooking Institute Report, entitled The Thirteen Economic Facts about Social Mobility and the Role of Education, makes it clear that education can play a pivotal role in improving social mobility.  As the report states: “A college degree can be a ticket out of poverty...  Few investments yield as high a return as a college degree.”
